It’s been over three months since we’ve checked in on the second Fenton Village rehab at 1526 Main Street. It turns out that the high-end Main and Ferry cornerstone development taken on by Sinatra & Company Realty is just about finished.
There are eight loft apartments, most of which have been leased. Tenants started moving in the first of the month. Units range in size from a 912 sq.ft. one-bedroom to a two-bedroom unit with 1,251 sq.ft. of living space. In addition to the usual high-end finishes, units have large windows and 12 ft+ ceilings. A few of the spaces have large lofted sleeping areas and Juliette balconies with floor to ceiling glass.
Ashkers is taking over a majority of the commercial space where they will execute a unique vision whose overall goal is to make healthy living more accessible. They are expanding on the juice-bar concept of their Elmwood Avenue location by featuring more of a restaurant setting. The spacious 5,000 sq. ft. location has room for private parties, catering operations, an artisan market and features a raised performance section. There is also a semi-separate space designated to provide an opportunity for a lucky startup to execute an innovative business concept. Opening is tentatively set for the beginning of January.
The remaining 1,500 sq. ft. of retail space is occupied by Barre Centric fitness studio, which opened for fitness classes in mid-October. They offer “certified and motivating instructors, fun and innovative classes, and a positive and encouraging community.”
Exterior improvements include a freshly landscaped and paved lot next to and behind the building, prominent corner entrance and evening uplighting. The smaller neighboring building at 1524 Main St. is next in line for an overhaul.
