A nanobrewery is coming to Larkinville, and will be setting up shop in a circa 1920 former bleach factory building (see historic image of corner of Myrtle and Spring – 1932). Once operational, the brewhouse will be able to brew two barrels at a time (four half kegs, 62 gallons). Buffalo Brewing Company joins a number of other breweries and distilleries, all within close proximity to its brewing operation. Limited editions of artisan craft beers will be produced.
A Kickstarter campaign has been launched, with a goal of raising $10,000 by December 29, 2014. A series of rewards are being offered to investors, but the greatest reward will be more locally made craft brews. It’s amazing to be able to walk into just about any regional bar these days and pick and choose from a fleet of locally made varietals.
Buffalo Brewing Company already owns the brewhouse, along with keg fleets, fermentation tanks, and the brite tanks are on order. If you’re into beer, and into Buffalo, and you’re looking to get your hands on some new, cool, nano brewery merch, consider coughing up a few bucks and let’s get these guys brewing in Larkinville.
