No matter how you view Governor Cuomo, you have to admit that he’s got a lot of people fired up about Buffalo. New Yorkers living outside of Buffalo feel that he’s currying favor with Buffalonians for their votes. Conversely, many Buffalonians are thrilled that the Governor is throwing money in this direction, and if that equates to votes, then so be it. You can read all about Cuomo’s recent trip to Buffalo in the NYTimes (see here), which details the affinity that he has for this city and the different reactions that his attention is evoking.
On the flip side, for those who are looking for the “hard-nosed” investigative journalist approach to Cuomo and his Buffalo Billion, you are invited to attend a multi-media presentation being organized by Jim Heaney of the Investigative Post. The event, to be held on Wednesday – October 29, includes a speakers panel that will help to analyze the Buffalo Billion and other related economic development efforts. A Q&A will follow. The “At Issue” event series, starts at 7 p.m. at the Theodore Roosevelt Inaugural Site, 641 Delaware Ave. Admission is $10 and includes membership to Investigative Post. Tickets can be purchased at the door or online at www.investigativepost.org/events.
