If you live in Buffalo, then you know that Delaware Park is a great place. If you live outside of Buffalo, you might not necessarily know that. Thankfully more people who live outside of Buffalo are learning about Delaware Park’s reputation as a “Great Place in America”. That’s the new designation that has been bestowed upon Buffalo’s park gem.
The American Planning Association (APA) has named Delaware Park as one of the 2014 Great Places in America.
You can read all about the parks incredible assets and the ongoing accomplishments of the Olmsted Parks Conservancy in Planning.org (see here).
“The APA’s flagship program celebrates places of exemplary character, quality, and planning. Places are selected annually and represent the gold standard in terms of having a true sense of place, cultural and historical interest, community involvement, and a vision for tomorrow. We want to congratulate and salute the Buffalo Olmsted Parks Conservancy for being recognized with this distinguished honor.” – William Anderson, FAICP, President of APA
