Lovers of Buffalo brews, rejoice!
If you want to experience the best of Buffalo’s beer all in one afternoon, you can now do it with Explore Buffalo on the Brewing Buffalo: Then & New Bus Tour. All on board for a comfortable coach bus tour of the city’s brewers. Learn about the history of Buffalo’s many breweries – there were once more than 30 independent breweries here – while visiting several current breweries for interior tours and product samples. After all, is there a better way to learn about beer than while drinking beer?
Explore Buffalo has put together this four-hour tour all about brewing in Buffalo, from its early beginnings through Prohibition to today’s craft beer revival, to showcase Buffalo’s long and proud brewing tradition.
“The majority of our tours focus on architecture and the built environment, and we now want to expand the emphasis of our tours to include more social and cultural elements,” notes Explore Buffalo Executive Director Brad Hahn, “and we think one of the best places to start is with Buffalo’s beer.”
Beer brings the community together, and that is exactly what Explore Buffalo is trying to do with this tour and with all of its other tours.
The next date for this tour is Saturday, October 18th at 1 PM. October’s tour will visit:
Resurgence Brewing
Community Beer Works
Chateau Buffalo
Gene McCarthy’s & Old First Ward Brewing
The tour will end with appetizers and a full pint of beer at Gene McCarthy’s.
