For a very long time in Buffalo there have been two options: you’re either blue collar or white collar. Pick your path and proceed to your pre-determined fate…
However, in the past few years, the local startup community has been steadily growing. With grass-root initiatives and more formal incentives currently underway, this is arguably the busiest time for startups in Buffalo’s history.
Particularly, this month (October) has been pumped up with entrepreneurial focused programming and announcements. The 4th Buffalo Startup Weekend is taking place this weekend, the 43 North finalists do their live pitches next week, FIKA Buffalo and Startup Grind are monthly series just to name a few. These are already popular events among the core group of movers & shakers in the startup world. Yet, ANYONE can be innovative!
Startup does not equate to being “techy” or entrepreneurial pursuits are not reserved for a daring few. One event that intends to showcase this belief and inspire more idea generators to get involved is “Startup Scramble” happening this Tuesday night on Allen Street.
Mimicking the South by Southwest festival feel, Startup Scramble is an open public invitation to connect with local and regional entrepreneurs from various fields. SUS will feature a special edition Buffalo Startup Grind, along with artists, musicians, and many other creative demos taking place at various locations on Allen.
Come to Startup Scramble to meet (and celebrate) local entrepreneurs, startups, and innovative groups collaborating to build a thriving startup community!
