As a tribute to World Architecture Day (October 6, 2014), Buffalo Architecture Foundation has announced that it will be hosting a week-long celebration of Buffalo’s architecture. The event is called Festival of Architecture – Buffalo (FAB), and is designed to promote the significance of the notable structures that we find all around us… and those “future structures” that will hopefully continue to rise into the sky (there are a few prime parking lot candidates that I can think of).
Our built environment is what gives Buffalo its identity. Through educational programming, community-based design activities, public lectures and roundtable discussions, FAB will pay tribute to the buildings and the people who play a role in their creation and preservation. The festival culminates with an inaugural fundraising gala, that is intended to jumpstart continued programming efforts.
