An historic building on Seneca Street is getting a new owner and a makeover. SelectOne Search LLC appears to have 760 Seneca Street under contract and is proceeding with plans to renovate the Larkin District property. The job search and placement firm is going to the Buffalo Planning Board for project approvals on Tuesday. It would relocate its corporate offices to the building from Wehrle Drive in Williamsville if everything falls into place.
760 Seneca had been listed for $550,000 with Recckio Real Estate & Development, Inc. The three-story building has 11,925 sq.ft. of space. It is still owned by 760 Seneca Street Inc. according to County Clerk records.
The Romanesque Revival structure is the former F.X. Winkler and Sons grocery store, established in 1857 on Seneca Street and moved to this building after its construction around 1893. The Winkler family closed the grocery in 1968.
