Buffalo’s concentration of fresh water resources is one of our greatest assets. For years those assets were squandered, as we opted to dump anything and everything imaginable into Lake Erie and its tributaries.
This evening (August 6), a conversation will take place at Canalside that will allow people to speak up for our fresh water resources. The event will also include the showing of the documentary If Our Water Could Talk. “We are at a crossroads in our relationship with the Great Lakes, and the WNED documentary of If Our Water Could Talk shows the long road of progress for our water resources,” said Jill Jedlicka Buffalo Niagara Riverkeeper Executive Director.
This conversation is incredibly important, especially considering that the Outer Harbor is in the midst of being reinvented. A healthy watershed must be maintained in order to advance the initiatives of a Blue Economy.
