It turns out that the three different directions that appear to be driving the Outer Harbor’s future incorporate recreation trails, a “great lawn meadow”, bicycle paths, a waterfront promenade, winter fitness aspects, a transit leg, a museum, restaurants, a pier, wetlands, a multi-modal bridge, fish habitat, an amphitheater, a ferry building/market, a wildlife corridor and an urban beach – as seen in the chart below. All three plans take these facets into consideration, while Plan A is more constant with the Olmstedian vision, Plan B blends a more neighborhood residential aspect, centered around livability, and plan C incorporates the some athletic fields and outdoorsy features. All three plans share many of the most popular key recommendations however.
