250 Delaware Avenue is quickly taking shape as steel for portions of the fifth floor is nearly complete after a tower crane was installed at the site on June 26. Uniland Development Company is constructing the 12-story building at the northwest corner of Delaware Avenue and W. Chippewa Street. It was designed by Diamond Schmitt Architects and HHL Architects.
Delaware North Companies’ corporate offices will occupy 110,000 sq.ft. on the upper floors of the 472,000-sq.ft. structure. The mixed-use project will also include a 119-room hotel plus an additional 94,000 sq.ft. of Class A office space.
10,000 sq.ft. of retail space is planned for the Delaware, Chippewa and S. Elmwood frontages, A five-level parking ramp will front Chippewa and Elmwood and a courtyard (below) will be located in the middle/north end of the complex. Construction is expected to be completed by fall 2015.
