It’s hard to imagine that August is almost here. Where did July go? As long as there is no way to prolong the summer, we might as well take full advantage of it while it lasts.
When I think of summer, I think of all sorts of warm weather happenings under the sun… and under the stars. Each year local organizations do their best to offer up family-friendly activities.
Starting in August the Parkside Community Association will be hosting its annual Movies in the Meadow series. The movies take place at Delaware Park near the intersection of Parkside and Florence, and are free and open to the public.
Movie-goers are welcome to bring picnic baskets, chairs, blankets, family and friends.
Here’s the line-up:
Friday, August 1st – Frederick Law Olmsted: Designing America & Olmsted’s Enduring Legacy (8:30 start)
Friday, August 8th – The Princess Bride (8:25 start)
Friday, August 15th – Citizen Kane (8:15 start)
Friday, August 22nd – The Goonies (8:04 start)
Friday, August 29th – Frozen (7:55 start)
