Uniland Development Co. has purchased multiple Frey the Wheelman Inc. properties west of the Theater District.
Buffalo High Technology Centre Inc. purchased 520, 522, and 525 Ellicott Street , 41-53 E. Tupper Street, and 693 Washington Street for $300,000. 505 Ellicott Street was purchased by Uniland President Carl Montante for $1 million.
Under a plan announced last year, the concrete block warehouse facility at 505 Ellicott Street would be remodeled and expanded to create office space attractive to firms in the tech, creative, or medical industries.
Plans call for a mezzanine area to be added to the building to create 36,000 sq.ft. of office space and a two-story glass enclosed lobby with natural wood wall accents and a “green wall” system. The goal is to provide a flexible floor plan with “loft-inspired” collaborative work spaces featuring open ceilings, skylights, and exposed structural joists and mechanical duct work.
The balance of the properties will be used for parking and held for future development.
Uniland is currently putting the finishing touches on the Catholic Health Administrative Building nearby and has erected the steel for the first floor on its mixed-use project at 250 Delaware Avenue (below).
