When it comes to golf tournaments in the city, it’s slim pickings. There are a couple of tournaments in the city, though one of the most prestigious is the Annual Olmsted Open. That’s because the money raised at the tournament all goes back into the Olmsted Park System – it’s a guaranteed way to have fun, show off your golf game and help an urban park system (and its golf courses) at the same time.
There are three golf courses in the city – the 18-hole in Delaware Park, the 9-hole course in Cazenovia Park, and the 9-hole course in South Park. Each year the Olmsted Open is held at Delaware Park, mainly due to its central location in the city of Buffalo.
If you are interested in playing in the 2014 Olmsted Open, then you can visit The Conservancy’s Facebook page for further information (see here).
