There’s something rather brilliant to be said for the guy who invented the puck bottle opener. All it took was an “ahhhh” moment, and suddenly the guy is sitting down hollowing out a real puck to see if it would work. And who better to do such an innovative thing than a guy who is already crafting drinking glasses out of discarded bottles (see here).
The guy that I am referring to is David Sheffield from Buffalo BottleCraft – an artisan shop located at The Foundry on Buffalo’s East Side. Now David has come up with this ingenious idea – one that will be on the gift list of every hockey fan in Buffalo in the world soon enough.
Check it out – it’s even got a magnetic feature so that the bottle cap doesn’t go flying onto the ground. That makes it easy to keep track and dispose of the caps. Perfect for bartenders, great conversationalist piece, and just the right gift for anyone who lives in a hockey/beer town. The openers are also inexpensive, hovering around the $12 mark.
Click here to see the different varieties and to place your order. I hope that The Sabres and Labatt (or any other brewery for that matter) pick this one up – made in Buffalo, super cool, easy to open, and a real guy magnet (for all of you ladies out there). It’s a good thing that this product is patent pending because there are going to be a lot of people out there asking, “Now why didn’t I think of that?”
