The internet is abuzz today with news that Whole Foods is coming to the area and opening in 2016. The company’s Quick Bite Newsroom says a lease has been signed for “Buffalo, New York”:
While Whole Foods has taken a liking to downtown or city locations, previous speculation has put a Buffalo-area store in the Northtowns. On a brighter note, Whole Foods typically opens more than one store in any given market.
The company, founded in Austin in 1980, has 379 stores making in the eighth largest US food and drug store. Stores average about 40,000 sq.ft. in size.
