There’s a new festival launching in Buffalo. This particular festival could be considered the antithesis of WingFest. Called VegFest, the festival aims to rally those who lead, or are looking to lead, healthy lifestyles. According to organizers, the initiative is intended to eventually grow into the preeminent health-conscious event in the region. It’s intended to be a celebration for those who live a plant-based lifestyle, or who want to learn more about the regional non-meat offerings.
On the day of VegFest, veggie-lovers can look forward to participating the inaugural Tofurky Trot 5K run/walk. The fest will also feature a kids’ area, guest speakers, vendors and exhibitors, live music and performances (I hope that they contacted The Bloodthirsty Vegans), an animal adoption area, and of course lots of yummy veggie-based food!
