Beginner Hatha, Intermediate & Advanced Vinyasa, Pre & Post Natal, Mommy & Baby, Full Moon… if you’re someone who practices yoga, then you know that there are many routines and directions that you can follow. From Tune-ups to Meditation, and Vinyasa Flow and Kirtan, yoga activities can keep us strong in mind and body.
Now there is a collaborative yoga health effort underway in North Buffalo that is attracting a lot of attention from people in the field (teachers and holistic practitioners). Experienced yoga instructor Megan Callahan, along with massage therapist Melissa Ambroise and others, has opened a new yoga studio in the historic Parkside Lutheran Church (located at the tri-corner of Linden/Depew/Wallace in North Buffalo). There they are offering everything from kids’ yoga classes to yoga workshops. This effort is intended to explore new directions in movement, meditation and even community celebrations – the group is excited to be able to bring new spiritual activities to this beautiful church in order to ensure the longevity of the building (and the people who attend the classes and workshops).
On Saturday April 12, from noon to 5pm, Yoga Parkside will be hosting an open house where the community will get a chance to check out the church and learn about the offerings. On that same day, the collaborators will be showcasing free demo classes in the emerging studios. All skill levels are invited to attend the classes, or just stop by and listen to some live music and meet the instructors.
