If you have yet to drive to the back of Riversides old Super Duper on Ontario St. in search of some local craft beer, then this Saturday would be a good time to do so. Flying Bison Brewing Company (FBBC) will be holding their Final Bash in Riverside on Saturday, April 5th from 5-7PM at their original location at 491 Ontario St.
The Final Bash in Riverside is a community collaborated event, bringing together some of Buffalos favorite groups and food. Lloyd Taco Truck will be serving up their nationally acclaimed tacos, the Buffalo Beer Goddesses will be pouring a specialty beer they brewed in collaboration with FBBC and appetizers will be provided by Cowsino Royale BBQ., a Buffalo BBQ Competition group who apparently really digs bacon.
The event is hosted in part by the S.B. Reeves outfit, a band that has brought their timeless sound to Flying Bison before. “We have performed two previous events at Flying Bison, both were great successes and a lot of fun,” says front runner Bass Reeves, “the band is really looking forward to our final show at this location. Even if we were not playing, we’d go for the amazing brews!”
The event will have plenty of brews to try, with 8 FBBC beers on tap and an opportunity to try the Buffalo Beer Goddesses Saison B. Anthony, a small batch of Saison they brewed along with FBBC head brewer, Colin Herzog.
“One of the best things about being part of the Buffalo Beer Goddesses is the connections we have made with not just beer lovers but beer makers,” says Goddess Co-Chair Tracey Stack Maciejewski, “having our hands in the actual brewing process was a first for many of us and we really appreciate FBBC for letting us make it happen.”
FBBC has called Riverside home since 1998, but will be moving this summer to Seneca St. near Larkin Square, just south of downtown Buffalo. Retails hours (see website) at the current location will continue until the move. Follow Flying Bison Brewery on Facebook and Twitter for continuous updates about the move and other beer relates news.
