It’s one thing to be embarking upon green initiatives as a city. It’s another to be recognized for the efforts. With advancements made in wind, solar and electric, along with measures taken in advancing permeable streets, rain gardens and safeguards for water resources, Buffalo is making great strides when it comes to environmental initiatives. Not to mention lack of traffic jams and our sprawling park system, which are also key ingredients when it comes to claiming the right to be called one of America’s 25 greenest cities. #8 on the chart in fact.
EcoWatch.com has ranked Buffalo as one of the greenest cities to live – a distinction that should be recognized by all of the local organizations that have been making headway in the ‘enviro’ department as of late. This year, Earth Day takes on a whole new meaning in Buffalo. Keep up the good work. And check out the article.
