Spring has (hardly) sprung and that means soon enough we’ll be flocking to the Central Terminal for Buffalo’s famous Dyngus Day. But let’s be honest… you can’t wait, and neither can we.
Buffalo’s East Side is full of history – the remarkable Central Terminal looks out over Broadway Street and Fillmore Avenue, an area rich with Polish culture. Tucked in this corridor is the Adam Mickiewicz Library Circle.
The library itself was founded in 1895 and is the oldest Polish-American organization in Western New York as well as the oldest surviving Polish library in all of Buffalo. Today, it’s home to 12,000 volumes of 400 hand-copied plays, and – more than 50 imported beers.
Join us as we pay a visit to Fillmore Avenue a bit early – for Happy Hour For-A-Cause, at the Adam Mickiewicz Library Circle and Torn Space Theater, Buffalo’s leading experimental theater company. Imported beers will be on hand, as well as the Black Market Food Truck, which was voted 2013’s best food truck. That’s right: beer and the BMFT.
Tours will be given of the Torn Space Theater, another neighborhood gem in the Adam Mickiewicz Library Circle.
Buffalo history, imported beer, and the good kind of drama – what’s not to love?
Grab a friend or a colleague and join Buffalo Niagara 360 as we raise awareness and funds for Torn Space Theater. This Happy Hour For-A-Cause is an opportunity for you to help out the East Side while experiencing one of Buffalo most unique bar locations.
