A small boutique gallery has opened up in Allentown called TGW @ 497. The gallery is owned and curated by David Vitrano formerly of The Great Wave Antiques and Tiger Lily and Wing Asian Bakery and Café – a place that I still miss to this day even though it’s been years since it closed. The first show happens to be a solo show by Vitrano himself, and runs between March 4-March 29, 2014. An artist reception is scheduled for March 7, between 6pm-9pm. The event can be found on Facebook.
You can learn more about Vitrano on Meibohm Fine Arts: “David Vitrano (American, 1938-) artist, sculptor, ceramicist, printmaker and teacher known for his terra cotta figurative sculptures & ceramic objects, mixed media drawings and wood block prints. David studied at Buffalo State College and received his BS and MS in Art Education.”
