This Sunday, one of Buffalo’s shining examples of stunning architecture and religious splendor will be in the national spotlight. “Building a Basilica” : How the Our Lady of Victory Basilica & National Shrine Came To Be is scheduled to air on ABC-TV beginning Sunday, January 19 at noon (film will be broadcasted locally on Ch. 7). Narrated by actor Brian Dennehy, the production will recount the formations of the landmark, and tell the tales of the shrine that was Fr. Nelson Baker’s dream… that only became a reality thanks to the skilled work of French-born architect Emile Uhlrich.
