In response to BRO commentors asking to see an example of a parking pad with aesthetic appeal, TM (the person who first submitted the article*) has asked that we share an image of a design (in Buffalo) that she feels justifies the presence of the pad. If the new Green Code was to allow for this type of landscaping, where the car is virtually hidden by foliage and permeable pavers are incorporated into the design, then the result is an attractive parking pad where the owner is happy and (hopefully) so are the neighbors.
“Also, Green Apple Landscape in Toronto has great before and after photos of installation of parking pads,” said TM. “Photos 03 and 04 (see below) look like a “shoe horned” in parking.”
