Starting tomorrow, all Common Council meetings will be broadcasted live on Time Warner Channel 22, The Government Channel. Council President Darius Pridgen made the announcement at last Thursday’s Reorganization meeting. The new council president is hoping for additional transparency into the inner-workings of City Hall, and hopes that by broadcasting the meetings the public will have a better understanding of the decision-making process.
Until this point, the meetings could be viewed online, and are still streamed live at The City’s website. The live broadcast on Time Warner will only help to keep the public informed in real time, while Council and Committee meetings will also be archived on The City’s webpage – www.City-Buffalo.com.
