Resurgence Brewing Company (RBC) is one step closer to getting its doors open. The news of head brewer David Collins joining the team is one of the final pieces of the puzzle that will allow president of Resurgence Brewing Company, Jeff Ware, to move forward with creating some test brews at the brewery on Niagara Street. “This is a big hire for us,” said Ware. “Dave has an extraordinary ability to express the multidimensional aspects of beer that will please the palettes of beer lovers and create new fans. We will work together to create truly unique beers for the Buffalo market.”
Collins is coming to RBC from a position of Head Brewer for Gordon Biersch in Syracuse. The Brew Master has also made a number of past inroads with the New York brewing community. “I am excited to start a new challenge within Resurgence,” said Collins. “I look forward to having the opportunity to experiment and brew creative beers.” It turns out that Collins is relatively familiar with Buffalo, as this is the city where he lived when he attended Niagara College of Canada Brewing School.
RBC is scheduled to open in the spring of 2014. You can follow their progress on Facebook. See BRO article on Resurgence here.
