Buffalo is the City of Good Neighbors, which is why it is not so unusual to hear stories about people and businesses that help out others when they are in a pinch. This Thursday, December 5, 2013, Madonna’s Restaurant in Allentown will be donating 25% of its dinner proceeds to Massachusetts Avenue Project (MAP) so that the organization can put some needed money towards the Emergency Greenhouse Fund that BRO featured back in November (learn more).
This is a pretty good deal if you think about it, especially if you were planning on eating out one night this week anyways. “The staff of MAP have been regulars of both Cafe 59 and Madonna’s for as long as we have been open,” said restaurateur Chris Connolly. “So when I saw that they needed help raising funds to rebuild their greenhouse, it was my pleasure to get involved. As a resident of the West Side, and neighbor of their Board Chair, I appreciate the work that MAP does for my community, and look forward to assisting them in the way that I am best able… by serving quality food, wine, and beer.”
