The Winter Market is ramping up once more, and will occupy part of the first floor of the Horsefeathers Building, while expanding to the lower basement level in order to accommodate permanent tenants. Combined with offerings from Martin Cooks, Paste Peddler, Blackbird Sweets, Jolie’s Traditional Chinese and a year ’round chocolate shop (Chow Chocolat) that will also be opening (on the lower level), this winter season should be even more attractive than the inaugural run last year (learn more). “We invite visitors from across Western New York to stop in and explore this unique marketplace — housed in a completely renovated 19th century building — and sample some incredible local food products,” said building owner Karl Frizlen, president of The Frizlen Group. “Aside from the market, there are also twenty-four loft-style apartments that occupy the building’s top four floors.”
The second full season kicks off on Saturday, Nov. 2, and runs through May 3, 2014. Featuring hand-crafted and locally produced products from up to 20 vendors, many of which frequent the Elmwood-Bidwell Market, the Winter Market attracts visitors from all over the region. With fresh pasta, Chinese dumplings, mushrooms and meats, along with a quaint and friendly atmosphere, Buffalo is lucky to have such a wonderful and wholesome market on its West Side.
Permanent market vendors include: The Pasta Peddler, Blackbird Sweets, Jolie’s Traditional Chinese, and Martin Cooks restaurant.
