Now that Halloween is upon us, I’m sure that your thoughts are drifting towards scary historic events that took place in Buffalo, right? Events such as Buffalo’s Witch Trial of 1821, or our most haunted cemetery ghosts of Gootleberg, or even Buffalo’s shocking connection to the Electric Chair… these are just some of the ghost and horror stories that you will hear when you attend Ghost Stories at The Lafayette Hotel. “Although I am a skeptic about paranormal events, the stories, photographs and audio collected by ghost hunters and residents at the Lafayette are compelling,” said Joel Dombrowski, Chief Fun Officer Buffalo History Tours. “Over the years the Lafayette has had its share of suicides, homicides and natural deaths. Maybe these events are responsible for the paranormal activity recorded at the hotel. The first part of the show discusses 400 years of evil events that have happened in Buffalo. During part two of the show, we tell ghost stories under the stars on the Lafayette’s open air terrace–it’s a great way to embrace the Halloween spirit.”
Every Thursday in October | 7:30pm | Reservations are required. $15 per person | See Buffalo History Tours for details.
