BuffaloSkyCam

I recently stumbled upon a fascinating Facebook page called BuffaloSkyCam.  The best I can tell, the page is for an aerial photography company.  The FB page has minimal information and the web page has even less. They describe themselves thus: “Aerial videography and photography via remotely piloted fixed and rotary winged aircraft offering unique and extraordinary perspectives of just about anything. Safe rooftop and chimney inspection, event photos and/or video, weather, coastal, and tidal observation. Search and rescue possibilities…insurance possibilities…real estate investments/management”.

You can get their email off the Facebook page.  The images and videos linked on Facebook are remarkable in the way they show movement and views around WNY from angles and in ways that have never been seen before.  Here is a small sample:

This is a brilliant way to view our city. Even though people in the R/C community have been doing it for years

As the price of these "drones" continue to decrease I think we'll be seeing a lot more of them. You can already buy one with a camera mount for around $500.
