The business recently launched an initiative called Pie Mad (see website) that has made its way into local Tops supermarkets. On top of that, owners Damian and Vicky Parker have been developing a series of concepts that will see their pies infiltrate cities across America. “We love Buffalo, and we’re utilizing as many other local businesses as possible,” said Vicky. “We cook using local products and meats, our packaging designs and boxes are created right here in the greater Buffalo area, and locally owned and operated shipping companies take our products from our loading docks to the store. We are proud to say we are helping to revitalize South Buffalo and the region.”
Tops Markets initial order that was just delivered, consisted of over 12,500 pies!
With the help of Tops Markets, Pie Mad has suddenly received a significant boost in sales that will help the pie company’s owners take their concept even further into the marketplace. “Thanks to the phenomenal efforts of our lead broker, Brian Gausik with JOH food distributors, Tops Markets is the first to carry the Pie Mad product placing 5 of our Pie Mad flavors on its shelves. Terrific support by a Buffalo giant for a Buffalo startup,” stated Vicky. “Pie Mad’s pies are low in sodium and contain no MSG, trans fats, artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives. The pies are made in unique microwave safe trays and held in convenient grab and go boxes, making a quick meal that is easy to consume for busy folk to enjoy in a flash. Of course they can always be popped in the oven for an easy dinner as well.”
