On June 14th, photographer Phil Pantano is hosting a solo show at 515 Main Street downtown (Main STudios), featuring his new series titled The American Worker. The show is a tribute the people today who continue to work toward the American Dream, in a variety of fashions.
In a day and age when, do to factors such as economic decline, many people are working more than they ever imagined, Phil has set out to capture the American Spirit that he believes is alive and well. “Every day we work harder and harder,” said the photographer. “Eight hours, ten hours, one job, two jobs – whatever it takes. At the end of the workday, this is what we are left with. This is the story of the hard work and service that goes into The American Dream.”
The series features 19 different people from all walks of life and what they are doing to achieve “The American Dream”. The show runs from 7-10pm. There will be food, wine, beer and music. A preview of the series can be viewed here.
