Renata has worked at IBM for 15 years in a variety of marketing, communications and management positions in regional and local markets.
She is currently responsible for defining and executing market strategies, marketing programs, field enablement and communications for IBM’s Public Sector business, including government, healthcare, education and Smarter Cities, across the Growth Market (Asia- Pacific, Latin America, Central Eastern Europe, Middle East Africa). She works closely with sales teams on priorities related to making our cities smarter – more interconnected and
intelligent – across public safety, water, social programs, transportation and sustainability.

Yu Kit has worked in the IT industry for over 20 years. He is the Chief Technologist for IBM Malaysia and an IT Architect for the IBM Government and Healthcare sectors in Asia-Pacific, Africa, Latin America, Central and Eastern Europe and the Middle East.
He develops and works on complex IT projects, including Smarter planet/City in government
andhealthcare,whichinvolvessolvingbusinessproblemsbytheapplicationofIT. Hehasa good insight into the various issues faced by governments and healthcare organisations as they strive to modernise, improve their services, gain efficiencies or produce desirable outcomes for their stakeholders. As chief technologist, he represents IBM in the innovative thinking behind IBM’s Smarter Planet initiative, where IT plays an increasingly important part of our lives. Erica has 8 years of operational management and leadership experience in the higher education industry and 8 years of consulting experience to bring financial, risk, and performance solutions to higher education and state/local government clients. Ms. Webber currently is the leader for IBM’s Institutional Performance and Risk Management Solution – an IBM Smarter Analytics solution for state and local government, and education.
Ms. Webber served as project manager of a large data analytics, risk and performance management project at the University of California (UC) from inception in 2008 through 2010. Prior to joining IBM, Ms. Webber served as Assistant Controller for the University of California San Francisco, where she was responsible for $800M in sponsored project funding. She also worked as a government consultant and manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers. Erica is based in San Francisco, California

John is a Smarter Cities Challenge Program Manager responsible for managing SCC projects in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. He has extensive experience working with cross-disciplinary executive teams and government agencies on projects topics such as public safety, economic development, governance, green energy, transportation and healthcare services. John is based in Armonk, NY.

Martin is Manager, IBM Corporate Citizenship & Corporate Affairs. He is a lead on Software, Services and Consulting Grant-making for IBM globally, and oversees Community Relations for New York and New Jersey. Martin will serve as the Smarter Cities Challenge team’s guide and connector to the city Leadership during the engagement. Martin is based in Brooklyn, NY.
