This Friday, the works of photographer Joe Cascio are being featured at the Visit Buffalo Niagara Gallery in the Market Arcade. The exhibit grand opening is from 12pm to 2pm, and Joe will be on-hand to show people his photos and answer any questions that they might have. Joe has been capturing Buffalo for years, capturing brilliant images ranging from architectural to sports to concerts. His panoramic photos are stunning, while his passion for his work is second to none. If you’re looking for a beautiful work of photographic art to hang on your wall, consider stopping by the gallery and purchasing one of Joe’s prints. Joe was featured in Buffalo Rising’s “Art Buff” series recently (see here). Following is a snippet from the interview:
What is your preferred subject matter?
I’m an adrenaline junky so when I have the chance to be in the middle of something and show off the surroundings, whether it’s nature or man made I get excited. Primarily nature and architecture and blending them together. I have also been creating virtual immersive images since 1995 and really enjoy allowing people to see things a little bit differently than they may be used to. I love shooting live music and have done that for over 33 years. Lastly, I have been working with the pediatric cancer groups in the area for the last 20 years documenting the kids and it brings me great pleasure working with them and making enduring images for the families.
