Just about everyone out there has an idea for a startup website business or mobile app. Often times, the only problem is taking the time to get serious about the idea. How does one go about launching a startup website anyways? Some members of the local IT community have come together because they believe that they have the solution that you’re looking for, to help you get your idea up and running. In order to do that Z80 Labs has agreed to host the program that starts with a free happy hour this evening from 4:30pm to 7pm, where the business website incubator will be serving free beer at their offices. That’s where you will learn about this new seven week program (starting the following day) that will help to take you and your idea from the drawing board to web presence.
For seven Saturdays in a row, from 9am to 2pm, participants will attend sessions that will include a guest speaker at 11am and a brunch. The cost of the seven week session is $20 total, which covers the cost of the brunch, coffee, donuts, etc. each week. Members can stay as late as 5pm if need be, in order to fine tune ideas with other members.
Feel free to bring your team of startup members this evening, or come solo and look to recruit members for your team. At 6pm founders will begin to pitch their projects to web developers who will then over the course of the next seven weeks design and build a working prototype of the website. Then get ready to hit the road running tomorrow morning (Saturday the 12th, 9am at Z80 Labs). Founders, along with incubator members, work on the website projects for six Saturdays straight, in preparation to unleash final presentations on the seventh Saturday, along with possible demonstrations. Presentations on that day will last until 5pm. This Beta Version is the precursor to an ongoing programming series that is designed to attract entrepreneurs in Buffalo, so that they can access support groups and incubator services along the way.
