This evening is the kickoff to the Hertel Holiday Walk. Come join friends and family as they explore all of the wonderful stores, both new and old, that Hertel has to offer. In recent years, the street has become a hotbed of activity, and the offerings are never ending.
From coffee shops to children’s stores, bakeries and restaurants, and all of the antique shops that you can shake a cane at. According to Frank Scheuttle, owner of SilentVoices Material Culture Gallery (lead image) at 1495 Hertel, “Last year we had about 800 residents participate and it was really a good time. SilentVoices is a Material Culture Gallery featuring American Folk Art, 18th and 19th Century Country Furniture with Original Paint, and specializes in a large selection of Vintage Western New York Regional Art from all periods. Most of the antique shops, galleries, and small businesses will be open late serving food and Holiday Cheer. SilentVoices will have treats from Joe’s Deli, The Village Beer Merchant, and Premier.”
Now if those are the offerings from just one Hertel Avenue business, can you imagine what the entire street has in store? It’s great to see local businesses working together to showcase different offerings… To find out more about Hertel Holiday Walk, click on the Facebook event page, details:
