11th Annual Holiday Open Studios and Galleries

2012 Holiday Open Studios and Galleries returns on November 30, December 1 & December 2, bringing with it a chance to explore some of the greatest art studios in Buffalo. Have you ever heard of Creekside Art and Pottery? Or Earthware Pottery and Glass? Are you familiar with Buffalo Canvas? This event is an opportunity for holiday shoppers to visit galleries, studios and even the homes of local artists and artisans to find the perfect gifts for friends and family. In fact, there are over 100 artists featuring their works this holiday season, in myriad venues.
Click here to view a PDF of all of the artists and their respective venues. There’s also a map that can be printed out so that you can take it with you when you shop.  “This event offers a wonderful opportunity to explore both the City and the talent that flourishes in our community”, says Catherine Gillespie, Director of Artists in Buffalo, Inc.
This year organizers of the event are also incorporating a raffle element into the affair. The Artful Raffle incorporates the use of a “passport” that can be turned in after the event. As the shoppers travel from gallery to studio, the passport cards are stamped, and the chances to win special gifts increase – cards can be picked up at Chatham Pottery on Bryant, ZGM Fine Arts, or the Burchfield Penney Art Center.
Friday, November 30th, 2012 from 5 pm to 9 pm.
Saturday, December 1st, 2012 and Sunday, December 2nd, 2012 from 11 am to 6 pm.
For more information about Artists in Buffalo, Inc. – the event’s sponsor – or to download a map with detailed listings, visit www.artistsinbuffalo.org, or email art.buffalo@gmail.com.

The eleventh-annual Holiday Open Studios and Galleries takes place Friday, November 30 from 5:00pm to 9:0 pm, and Saturday & Sunday, December 1 and 2 from 11:00am to 6:00pm. This year’s event features 17 locations hosting a diverse assortment of artists and artisans. New group venues this year include the Burchfield Penney Art Center, The American Red Cross, ZGM Fine Arts, and Thin Ice. Holiday Open Studios & Galleries is a free event.
