What could be better than to attend an International Food Festival at a magnificent church? Incredibly enough, this is the 30th year that St. John’s-Grace Episcopal Church is hosting its Annual International Food Fair on Saturday, September 29, from 11:00am to 5:00pm. You heard that right – this is the 30th year!
We are always talking about the roles of churches in the community, and how in order for churches to stay current they must be able to tap into the zeitgeist of the city. Certainly, there is no better way to do that than to bring a community together to partake in sampling foods from around the globe. Especially considering Buffalo’s melting pot history when it comes to ethnic cuisines. According to the church, some of the different culinary delights will include homemade jams, jellies, caponata and chili sauce, Southern Fried Chicken, Barbecued Ribs, Mexican, Indian, Polish and Italian, breads, soups, candies, cakes, pies, cookies, pastries, tarts and tortes, and coffees and fruit smoothies.
