It’s time to get to know Buffalo by water. I’m not talking about a group tour where you never even get a little wet, I’m talking about a paddle in a canoe or a kayak where you’re up close and personal with the water. This summer, and into the fall, Riverkeeper is organizing a bunch of river tours that are designed to get you out on the water exploring all sorts of interesting aquatic spots around Buffalo.
From the Buffalo River to the Black Rock Canal, there’s a tour for everyone. Maybe you’ve already explored the Buffalo River and are not sure where to ‘put in’ along the Scajaquada Creek? Or you’ve been wanting to check out the mighty grain elevators along the Buffalo River? This is a great way to learn about nature and the waterways – some paddles are for pure pleasure while others are designed as informative adventures.
