Wynne Creative Group, a creative design agency, has officially joined the growing list of companies making their home at the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus. The firm recently completed its move into 1,650 sq.ft. of office space on the third floor of the Innovation Center, 640 Ellicott Street.
The 120-acre Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus is home to a number of healthcare, life sciences research, medical and educational institutions and businesses. While not in the fields of medicine or science, Wynne Creative Group leaders believe their design firm fits perfectly within the culture of the campus.
The agency is already familiar with many of its campus neighbors, having done work for the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus, Roswell Park Cancer Institute and the Jacobs Institute. Officials at the BNMC encouraged the firm’s relocation to the Innovation Center from 464 Franklin Street.
“The campus and the Innovation Center were developed to foster the exchange of ideas and creative collisions between people and companies,” said Rob Wynne, President, CEO and Executive Creative Director, Wynne Creative Group. “Our work and our company philosophy are centered on providing creative and innovative solutions for clients in every industry. There is an atmosphere of discovery and ingenuity at the campus that our creative team will definitely identify with and be inspired by. I see this as a marriage of art and science.”
We are thrilled to have Wynne Creative Group, with whom we have worked very closely over the past four years, become a part of the Innovation Center,” said Patrick J. Whalen, Chief Operating Officer at the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus, Inc. “Our intent has always been to encourage tenants offering support services – creative, marketing, sales, law, finance – to locate here to help our entrepreneurs grow their businesses, and it is very gratifying to see this coming to fruition. Rob Wynne is an entrepreneur himself and certainly understands what these companies are going through and how he can help them to succeed.”
There’s a good deal of momentum happening on the Medical Campus,” says Wynne. “For us to be connected to it is a great thing. We are very excited to be here.”
“It’s fun, there’s something new everyday,” adds Karen Flannery, Director of Account Services. “There’s a lot of different firms in the building.”
Since its founding in 2002, Wynne Creative Group has done work for a broad client list of local, regional and national companies, including Delaware North Companies, HSBC Bank, Hospice Buffalo, LPCiminelli, Electrochem (a subsidiary of Greatbatch), The Plaza Hotel, Anchor Bar, Petsmart and the Erie County Fair – to name a few. Wynne Creative Group provides clients a full suite of design and advertising services, including brand development, advertising, publication design, direct mail creative, sales promotion and interactive solutions.
One thing Wynne is proud of is the work they donate to local arts groups including Curtain Up! and Shakespeare in the Park.
The firm currently has six employees, all have come from much larger firms. Wynne Creative considers itself a boutique agency and doesn’t have big expansion plans.
“We are the little agency that could,” says Flannery.
Emphasizes Wynne, “The bigger you get, the work gets watered down.”
