On New Year’s Eve, the last thing that you want to be doing is driving after having a couple of drinks. It’s just one of those nights when everyone throws on a party hat, but unfortunately many people decide to get behind the wheel after tipping back a couple of cocktails. Even if you think that you’re fine, there’s no reason to chance it. Choose a designated driver if you can. If you can’t find someone who is completely sober and willing to taxi you and your friends around town, then there’s another option…
We are lucky to have Designated Drivers of Buffalo (DDB) to help us when we’re in a pinch. DDB has partnered up with the Law Offices of William Mattar to offer a free service on New Year’s, which means that there is NO excuse to get behind the wheel after toasts are over. “This service has certainly removed drunken drivers off our streets, potentially reducing DWI arrests, and more importantly, saving lives” said Michael Mule, CEO of Designated Drivers of Buffalo. Here are the details:
The free service will be available to anyone calling from downtown Buffalo on New Years Eve, December 31st from 12:00 a.m. to 4:00 a.m. Free service from downtown is available to anyone on a first call, first service basis. It is recommended that people that need a ride call at least one hour in advance. Service will be available outside of downtown Buffalo at discounted service rates. When a customer calls Designated Drivers of Buffalo, two professional drivers are dispatched to the customer’s location. One drives the customer home in his/her own vehicle, and the other follows behind. This allows customers to get themselves and their vehicles home without risking the adverse consequences of driving under the influence.
To ensure customer safety, all employees of Designated Drivers of Buffalo are required to pass a complete background check, driving record check, and pass a safe driving course prior to giving their first ride. Drivers are uniformed with ID tags when they arrive to pick up customers.
