Peek-A-Boo Baby Boutique is a lot more than just a baby’s clothing consignment shop. Owner Stacey Moscato stocks a bunch of wearable gifts created by artisans who live right here in Greater Buffalo. Peek-A-Boo has been growing steadily since opening a year and a half ago, and if you ask me the shop is just about to explose with merchandise. Obviously North Buffalo is where it’s at with all of the families that live in the neighborhood. From newborns to five year olds, Stacey stocks onesies, scarves, bibs, booties, knit hats, socks and slew of the great clothing, all at affordable prices. Why buy new when babies grow out of their clothes so fast?
Best Seller:
We’ll start with the girls. Peek-A-Boo is loaded with a colorful accessories section featuring the latest and greatest in headbands, hair clips and even ballerina tutus. These gifts range from $2.25 to $25, and many of them are made by a woman who lives right down the street. These are the perfect stocking suffers for the fledgling fashionistas, with many different styles, designs and colors to choose from.
Stacey’s Pick:
For the guys Peek-A-Boo stocks another locally made favorite. It’s the business tie t-shirt (or onesie). The perfect item to give to a baby boy who already has a fascination with dad’s tie collection, but is too young to wear one himself. Each of the shirts is custom made – the t-shirts retail for $18 and the onesies retail for $15.

What to do while you’re there:
My good old friend and former Buffalo Rising writer, Anthony Cuellar, summed up a meal at Taste of Thai very nicely when he said, “The food is delicious. Their menu boasts upward of 70 items ranging from a crisp Koong Gra Bok (marinated shrimp in a spring roll shell) appetizer to entrees like fillets of orange roughy in Chu Chee sauce, an exceptional curry made with lime leaves and lemongrass. Though forks are provided we ate our Kai Yuang (grilled Cornish hen marinated in spices) the Thai way, by pressing balls of sticky rice against the meat and popping it into our mouths. Complementing this was a refreshing salad made of shredded papaya, tomato, and carrots in a lime dressing. The pud thai is also excellent and don’t pass on the Thai iced tea.”
This is one of the best restaurants in the city and would be the perfect place to stop at this holiday season. There’s plenty of room inside, so why not bring some friends along?
