Each holiday season the Historical Society offers unique ways to give your favorite Buffalonians special gifts that tell the story of our city. This year our friends are featuring one day where you will find Buffalo-themed gifts including a number of Pan-American items. Local artisans will also be on-hand with additional wares.
On that day, 20 local authors will be signing books – it’s a great way to meet the experts who continue to publish on topics such as cooking, neighborhoods, children’s books, regional and military history, novels and picturesque coffee-table books. This year’s authors include both new and seasoned authors, with names like Steve Cichon, Mark Donnelly, Maria Scrivani, Lynda Schneekloth, Christa Glennie Seychew, and Mason Winfield.
While you’re at the event, don’t forget to pay a visit to Historical Society’s gift shop. For those who have not browsed the shop before, it is filled with tons of great Buffalo gifts. For example, there are posters, and gift cards, and trinkets and memorabilia that are displayed in an attractive setting just inside the front door.
The Buffalo Book Fair and Local Author Signing is free and open to the public. Parking is complimentary and plentiful. For more information, call the Buffalo and Erie County Historical Society at (716) 873-9644 or visit www.buffalohistory.org.
