Come out and celebrate Buffalo’s most prominent preservationists. Join the Campaign for Greater Buffalo this evening, Tuesday October 18th at the WNY Book Arts Center at 7pm for the Preservation Awards Ceremony.
The Campaign for Greater Buffalo has been very lucky and privileged to work with so many prominent Buffalo figures over the years who have spent time, money and effort trying to save and preserve buildings across Western New York. We wanted to have a special event to say thank you and to recognize a few of the many that deserve an award.
We will be giving out several awards including Preservationist of the Century to the one and only Sue McCartney for helping to preserve buildings such as the Connecticut Street Armory, the Guaranty Building, the Genesee Building, the New York Telephone Building and others. Awards will also be given to Donn Esmonde, David Franczyk, Ed Healy, Howard Zemski and Margaret L. Wendt for their efforts in Buffalo.
The event is free and open to the public. It starts at 7pm. Refreshments will be served.
