Search is on for unique merchants, craftspeople to create WNY’s most dynamic holiday shopping experience
With a goal of replicating the memorable shopping destinations of Europe’s Christkindlmarkets and retail arcades, the Niagara Holiday Market today announced an open call and invitation for vendors and artisans for its spectacular, 37-day winter wonderland in Niagara Falls, NY this November and December.
“We’re on a grand treasure hunt to find and recruit the most distinctive and inspired merchants for the holidays,” related Mark Rivers, the event organizer. “This is not a carnival or a weekend street festival with funnel cakes. It is a world-class Market and event that is already attracting the very best retailers and artisans from the region and beyond. We expect to sell-out this opportunity for vendors.”
A Vendor Row will be created along Old Falls Street, from 3rd Avenue Street to the State Park. It will feature approximately 80 vendors with a diverse merchandise selection including: apparel, footwear, one-of-a-kind household items, handcrafted gifts, photography, visual art, children’s items, specialty foods and more. The items will be sold in a series of constructed booths, structures and buildings.
The Niagara Holiday Market, making its debut on November 25, will be the largest European-style holiday market and festival in the US. It will operate for 37 days thru January 1, 2012 along historic Old Falls Street in the Cataract City, and will be home to unique retail vendors, ice skating, winter outdoor activities, concerts, performances and family experiences.
Interested vendors can find information and apply via www.niagaramarket.com. The deadline for application is October 15, 2011.
A Vendor Concierge is available for assistance.
