After a successful spring and summer season, the ECHDC would like to know what you would like to see at Canalside this fall and winter. I have my own list of amenities that I think would draw people down to the Inner Harbor (and keep them there), but I’m not going to list them in this lead post. The community was spot on with a lot of the suggestions for the warmer months, and many of those ideas came to fruition.
What is it going to take to continue this successful trend? I’m not talking about million dollar ideas… smaller budgets please. I’m talking about the quick and easy… you know, the lighter, quicker, cheaper route that has worked fairly well so far. Some of the staff from Project for Public Spaces were in town today, and they liked what they saw take place this summer. Many feel that the momentum should continue…
What will Canalside look like in the middle of winter? Will Buffalonians head to the waterfront for anything other than hockey games? This is your waterfront. Tell us some of the ideas that you would support… a few ideas that would bring you to Canalside when the weather can be… well… you know how it can be.
What should ECHDC (and Buffalo Place) do this winter? They’re looking for your suggestions. The ECHDC is listening and is eager to get the snowball rolling.
