Who wouldn’t love Ben Folds? Whether it’s his lyrics or his interviews, Folds is one of those individuals who uses words to their maximum level, adroitly. His music is the happy platform on which his words rest, though Folds’ piano-playing has sometimes been likened to a contact sport.
Acerbic and ironic, Folds, who is a classically trained percussionist, has performed with orchestras across the world, from Australia to Boston. We’ll have the pleasure of hosting him with the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra, at Kleinhans Music Hall on October 8th, at 8PM.
Selections from his latest release, University A Cappella!, will be performed pre-concert in The Mary Seaton Room of Kleinhans by SUNY Buffalo’s Buffalo Chips and Royal Pitches, and SUNY Fredonia’s Much More Chill and Some Like it Hot, starting at 6PM.
