The new Federal Courthouse on Niagara Square is getting its shell. No, the façade of the Dulski Building isn’t being reused. The ellipse of the Courthouse is getting a ribbed pre-cast skin that will be veiled by suspended glass planes. A transparent curtain wall will front Niagara Square. According to the General Services Administration, the project is 18 percent complete.
New York City-based Kohn Pederson Fox Architects designed the $123 million, 268,000 sq.ft. building. It is expected to open in mid-2010.
