4 cm Dilated: The Exit Show

Coming to the Central Terminal is a collaborative exhibit of this year’s graduating class of the University at Buffalo’s Department of Visual Studies. The exhibition, entitled “4 cm Dilated: The Exit Show” features student work that was not held to a conceptual restraint and it is the culmination of a year of research and studio work.
Some of the themes included in the wide variety students created range from US foreign policy to self-exploration. The students used the wide array of resources available to them with the support of the department professors and their professional knowledge to create this unique show.
The show opens on April 13th from 2-6pm, with additional hours on April 19th and 20th from 1-5pm. The Central Terminal Corporation has granted the students the ability to organize their event from curatorial, to the opening, and the installation. The name of the exhibit is based on the beginnings of childbirth, making it a titillating quirk that can serve as example for the pieces in store at the show.

Why don't they just re-shoot that kennedy Assasination-pre-empted episode of Route 66 in the central terminal and do it dressed provacatively as cubist paintings? Might get some press outta Europe.

The Central Terminal is the perfect venue for this sort of show----high ceilinged, with its raw, work-in-progress state of restoration. And the title of the show implies all the right things. Good luck to the graduating class at UB with this effort, I'm going to try to get there. Hope many others will as well.
