I’m not sure if this is something that they’d feature or not but it’s become a hot topic around the streets of Allentown actually (believe it or not). My wife and I had 2 of our cats vanish from our backyard on Elmwood without a trace on June 5th and nobody has been able to find them since. So we have a lot of friends in the area and there have been lot’s search parties set up and lots of posters all over the area, ads in AV, Buffalo News, Petfinder, etc. The people of Allentown have been very helpful and concerned and it’s been amazing really, they’re kind of like little celebrities around here and are well known.
Anyway we’ve exhausted all our options and believe someone took them in but we need to find ways to reach more people and let whoever has them know that we need them home. The one cat needs special medication that he hasn’t been getting.
So there’s the story. Maybe it’s worthy, maybe not. But the wife wanted me to try. 😉
Thanks for your time-

Elena-
I’m not sure if you are planning on running something on the cats or not, I must admit I felt a little strange even asking because it’s not your typical BR story. The story around the effort to locate them by so many Allentown/city people has been amazing but they’re cats and many cats go missing I know. My wife just wanted my to use any contacts I’ve made through the music scene to see what new avenues we could tackle.
Thanks for your time-

So, Jeff is right…it’s not exactly a Buffalo Rising thing. Still, part of what we do here centers around the fact that we appreciate the acts of goodwill we see all around the community and we report them to you.
We know The Times would never do this, and we’re alright with that. That having been said, has anybody seen Jeff’s cats?
Buffalo Rising
Sometimes the authors at Buffalo Rising work on collaborative efforts in order to cover various events and stories. These posts can not be attributed to one single author, as it is a combined effort. Often times a formation of a post gets started by one writer and passed along to one or more writers before completion. At times there are author attributions at the end of one of these posts. Other times, “Buffalo Rising” is simply offered up as the creator of the article. In either case, the writing is original to Buffalo Rising.
